The Beauty Conference Inspiring Women To Create

The Beauty Conference was a moment to remember. In March 2019, I had the opportunity to attend the Beauty Conference. It was created by Terri Watson, a makeup artist and beauty educator that is dedicated to helping people reach their full branding potential. Terri also gave me the opportunity to speak on a panel about being an influencer and what it means to me.

The setting was beautiful in the Treehouse Studios in Atlanta. I had previously been to this venue at Deun Ivory’s Art of Photography event. The beautiful windows gave the perfect atmosphere for lighting and making content. The goal of my session was to talk and discuss what influencing is to me. I wanted to ensure that people knew they are influencers themselves and they shouldn’t sell themselves short.

Never Give Up

There will be times where you may have self-doubt. Don’t give up. It takes time to get where you want to be.

It Takes Hard Work to Get Where You Are

It was inspiring for me to hear all the stories of the women on the panel. It was inspiring for me to see Terri finally put her first conference together. We met two years previously at another event we worked together called Curvy Curly Conscious.

Patience is A Virtue and Planning is Important

Using patience with a plan keeps you in control. It keeps you consistent.

Other lessons I have learned from the event include social media branding, marketing as a makeup artist, not letting people dull your shine and so much more. I am honored to be able to speak on a panel with two other women about what I do. Thank you, Terri.
