One of the best secrets in the beauty industry is trial size products. They give you the option to try a new product quickly without a huge loss of money and product. Plus, trial size products double as travel size products. Never again, TSA will take my face wash! This month, here are some of my favorite trial/travel size product empties:

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen

This little product is perfect for melanin-loved people who need a sunscreen. Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen has a mattifying, clear formula for the perfect sunscreen application. As a black woman, I always recommend getting a trial size or sample of sunscreen. Sunscreen for melanin-loved people is hard to find a product that does not leave a white cast or gives you a purple tint. Supergoop is a winner, and I’ve tested their All Set Collection (review soon to come). It’s perfect for trying out their sun care products.

This may not be trial size but it’s perfect for travel. The Body Shop Tea Tree Anti-Imperfection Daily Solution is one of my all-time favorite serums I have ever purchased! I use it as a part of my night time serum routine. I currently use this for my neck and décolletage. It helps with acne I may get from my natural hair products. I have never had a problem getting this on a flight!

Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner

When I say this toner saves your skin, it truly does. Indie Lee CoQ-10 Toner is a hydrating toner that is perfect to use in-between all your skincare steps. It contains aloe vera and hyaluronic acid. It will be one of my favorites that I will be incorporating into my routine. This mini version is where I began my love with the product. I did receive it as part of Follain’s ‘Clean Essentials’ Kit. Great news, I have a code for you to use for any purchase* you make at Follain 15% off online. The code “ref15_y2b5fk” will get you x off your purchase!

Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Cream

I have heard many things about Drunk Elephant. When I got the chance to try, I fully went for it. As a part of Sephora’s 2019 May Birthday Gift Set, I received this cream as a part of the gift. This cream is soothing with a light texture. It does not contain any fragrance while helping with your skin texture, tone, and lines. This product paired well with the Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen. A match made in trial size heaven!

Makeup Drop

To apply creams and masks, I have been using this tool called the Makeup Drop (gifted). It has been helpful to evenly apply the product on my face, neck, and décolletage. The pointed part gives you more opportunity to apply the product more effectively in the contours of your face and body. It’s a great addition to any day and night time routine.

Trial sizes can be a great way to try multiple brands at once. The benefits include not hurting your pocket though too much shopping and not wasting product if you do not like it. As a blogger, I do get a lot of products, gifted and purchased, that I cannot use all by myself. Outside of gifting and donating to others, I use these trial size products to give me a chance to try a brand. Try a trial size and you may be surprised how much you like it!
